The Dutch Barn in Aberdeenshire is owned and designed by architect Douglas Forrest. He runs the architects firm Acanthus Architects df  based in Huntly and also is behind the innovative restoration project at The Wardhouse Estate which includes 9 individually designed home and the renovation of the Wardhouse Mansion. The Dutch Barn was designed as a home for himself and his wife Carol and has successfully been transformed from a old traditional Dutch Barn to modern, minimalist surroundings. The images of the Dutch Barn have now been featured in Build It magazine and Scotland on Sunday.
