This week saw a shoot with Black Isle Renewables at their Inverness Marina project. The newly opened marina shore facilities building has fitted a NIBE ground source heat pump, which harnesses renewable energy from the sea to provide heating and hot water for the building.

Local renewable energy experts Black Isle Renewables specified and installed the system, which runs from the marina sea bed (with hidden pipes) back to the building. The project is a great example of making the most of the natural surroundings, using the sea’s renewable energy to help meet the building’s high heat demand.
